Mac OS X Quick Install: Drag the folder "Stone Studio" to your Applications folder on your hard disk.

 INSTALLATION INSTUCTIONS:

Mac OS X Users:
    Drag the applications in "Stone Studio" to your Applications folder or just copy the "Stone Studio" folder to the Applications Folder. You can click on the "Apps" button in Finder to reveal the Applications Folder.
    
To install an automatic EPS to PDF filter which uses PStill(tm):
        a. Go to the folder "Extras/Stone Studio Extras/Automatic EPS to PDF".
        b. Drag the folder "Services" to your Library folder.
        c. If you need PS Fonts - get Stone Design's free TrueBlue!


If you are running NeXTStep, OpenStep or WebObjects on Windows, we have included all of our software from the last 10 years in the folder "Extras/Old Stone Apps/install_other_platforms:" - see About Old Stone Apps.rtf in that folder

1. Install Applications into /Applications

2. Log out and log in to register the programs with Finder

3. Launch Create

4. Choose "Tools -> Library Resources" from the menu
    a. Click on the freehand tool in the Tool palette
    b. Click and draw a freehand shape in the document
    c. Choose the "Effect" tab in the Library Resources window
    d. Drag an effect from Library Resources onto your shape
    e. Choose "Tools -> Show Info" and select "Effect" tab.
    f. Inspect the effects and play with their attributes
    g. Also drag & drop from the Art, Page, Pattern, Blend tabs

5. WEB DEMO:
    a. Choose "Web -> Sample"
    b. Choose "Web -> Create Web Pages..."
    c. Save, and this will open the pages in OmniWeb or other WWW browser

6. Animated GIF DEMO:
    a. Choose the "Art" tab in the Library Resources window
    b. Drag in the Maple Leaf
    c. Choose "Tools -> Animator"
    d. Click "Current" button to set frame of animation
    e. Click "View Animation"
    f. Click "Save Animation", and name the file
    g. This should launch GIFfun - if not, be sure you installed the applications into the Applications folder or sub folder.
    h. GIFfun will create a single animated GIF
    i. Your Browser will be launched with the HTML to display the GIF

7. GIFfun DEMO:
    a. Launch GIFfun
    b. Select "GIFs -> Sample" from the menu
    c. The sample GIF is displayed in your WWW browser.

8. Slice & Dice DEMO:
    a. Launch SliceAndDice
    b. Choose "Samples -> Aqua Nav Bar"
    c. Double-click to bring up Info - select Sub Image tab to see URLs
    d. Choose "File -> Slice & Dice..."
    e. Choose "Samples -> Slice This..."
    f. Drag on vertical and horizontal slices
    g. Drag on URL's from web browser
    h. Choose "Samples -> Multi Dimensional Nav Bar..."
    i. Choose "File -> Slice & Dice..."
    j. Look at the HTML Source in your web browser.

9. PackUp&Go DEMO:
    a. Launch PackUpAndGo
    b. Drag a file, folder or combo onto the PackUp&Go window
    c. It's now compressed and ready to drag out!
    d. See PackUp&Go-> Preferences for options.


10. TimeEqualsMoney DEMO:
    a. Launch TimeEqualsMoney
    b. Choose File -> Sample Time Card
    c. Choose Reports -> RTF Invoice


11. PhotoToWeb DEMO:
    a. Launch PhotoToWeb
    b. Choose Album -> Sample Album
    c. Choose Views -> Slide Show
    d. Double-click to end slide show
    e. Choose Views -> Thumbnails
    f. Choose Photos -> Create Web Pages


12. StampInStone DEMO:
    a. Launch StampInStone
    b. Play with Text Stamps - dates, etc
    c. Play with Image Stamps
